How many animals can I have?
- There may be up to four dogs per property. Dogs are no longer required to be licensed with the Town Hall; however, licenses are available for $2 at the town hall for identification purposes should the pooch get picked up during an unexpected walk-about. All animals are required to have rabies and vaccination inoculations as required per their species.
- There may be up to four livestock units per property. A property owner may petition his neighbors for the allowance of two additional short-term livestock units for youth activities only and two additional long-term livestock units, and apply for a variance for the same. Variance requests go before the Town Council and make take up to a few months to approve so plan early. Additional livestock units cannot be on the property before the variance is approved. What is livestock? Any animal other than a dog, cat or fowl and poultry.
- There may be up to fifty fowl or poultry per property.
All animals must be contained on the property. Dogs must be on a leash if off the property.
